I took a break from blogging for a bit because I've been traveling a lot - from New York City to San Francisco to Austin. It's been one heck of an adventure! I'm a big city gal so even though I currently live in LA, I loved the thrill of exploring different neighborhoods and good eats in a new city. I just got back from Austin, so I'll be sharing pictures and details on that in a later post.
In New York City, we devoted a lot of our time to eating at variety of restaurants and of course, did some shopping as well. In San Francisco, we were only there for less than two days for a friend's birthday so it was mainly bar hopping and some sight-seeing.
Here are some of the spots we checked out while in these two
cities. Some I absolutely loved and would definitely pay a second visit!
New York City
Food -
1. Beauty & Essex (very elegant interior with a jewelry store
themed)
2. Luke's Lobster (featured in collage - basically seafood
heaven)
3. The Meatball Shop (also featured in collage - so many different
options for meatballs)
4. Shake Shack (one of the best burgers you'll ever have)
5. Aquavit (fine dining - $$$$)
Shopping -
1. The Bite Beauty (customize your own lipstick! Must make
appointments in advance)
2. Necessary Clothing (very trendy selection with reasonable
prices)
3. Mango (similar to a Zara)
4. BirchBox Store (if you're a subscription box fan, you have to
check out their store!)
San Francisco
Food/Drinks -
1. Padrecito (delicious margaritas)
2. Blush! (French wine bar with an awesome happy hour!)
3. Fog Harbor Fish House (their Clam Chowder is to die for)
Sight-Seeing -
1. Golden Gate Bridge (classic choice - not the
same as Golden Gate Park)
2. Alcatraz (if you're a history junkie like me, you'll love the
tour! So interesting)
3. Dolores Park (featured in collage - great area for families and
relaxing)
4. Pastel Homes (they're everywhere - it's such a dreamy
city)
