Sweater Weather

Can't believe we're already hitting the second week of December and winter is among us. I'm definitely welcoming this chilly season with open arms and embracing sweater weather as it feels like it's been forever that LA has experienced any temperates below 70 degrees. Who am I to complain though?

Since Mother Nature can't seem to make up her mind on keeping LA chilly or mildly hot, I've learned to mix the best of both worlds. Combining winter wear with the previous season is always fun because it's a good way to transition pieces in your closet and experiment with different textures and prints. How I styled this look was to maintain a good balance between heavier and lighter pieces. A chunky knit sweater provides a lot of weight, so it's important to pair the bottom half with something less bulky to keep it from swallowing you. If it gets cold at night, adding a sheer or opaque tights underneath the skirt is a good option!
