Weekly Favorites

Lately, I've been gravitating towards certain things more than others - whether that's diving my nose into a great book that inspires me to re-decorate my whole pad or playing around with fun accessories that add an extra pop to a wardrobe.

One of my favorite bloggers debut her second book recently "Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home" which not only makes a great coffee book, but has a lot of great info on redecorating your home to suit your style and space. I just re-signed a one year lease for my apartment, so this book definitely inspires me to get my hands dirty and transform my home.

Another thing I've been obsessing over is the Lollia Shower Gel. If I want to pamper myself and not splurge on a lot of money then I'll use this in the shower. It feels super luxurious and has this incredibly relaxing scent that makes you feel super clean. It lathers so well in the shower too and will make you feel like you waltz out of a spa.

A designer that I've been coveting lately is Clare Vivier, and it really comes to no surprise because her clutches are always decked out in the cutest prints. One of the bags I picked up from her sample sale is this crisp white design with silver polka dots. Very simple and chic. Works for every occasion too.

During summer, I love wearing funky shades with fun colors. These purple Wildfox sunnies are one of my all time faves that I snagged from the sample sale a year ago. It definitely adds a more playful touch to any outfit -whether it's laying out on the beach or running errands around town.

And lastly, I've been experimenting with new beauty products lately. I'm such a makeup junkie but when it comes to finding a really good lipstick formula and a long-lasting foundation, it can be once in a blue moon! I usually prefer matte lipsticks, but they tend to be drying. BareMinerals"Marvelous Moxie" Lipstick is moisturizing and opaque, but not too glossy. It's a perfect balance between matte and shine. As for foundation, I started using Too Faced's "Born this Way", and it gives such a great medium-high coverage. Best thing about it is how long lasting it is all day. I have a lot of redness around my nose and the foundation covers it up completely without having to retouch throughout long work days. Always a plus for ladies who's crunch for time!

How was your weekend, and have you tried any of these before?

XO

  1. I've been wanting to try BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick, as I've heard great things about it! My lips get super dry, so a moisturizing lipstick is best. I also want to read Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home. :) Great list of favorites! Hope you had a great weekend <3
