This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a fashion and beauty conference in Los Angeles called Simply Stylist, which was hosted by Cat Sadler from E! News. The conference is held once a year at The Grove and depending on what type of ticket you purchase, there's a networking brunch, a panel discussion featuring bloggers, entrepreneurs, and fashion & beauty professionals in the industry, and also a brand pampering session afterwards.
This was my first time attending, and I really enjoyed it. It was very insightful hearing from bloggers and other influencers who have successfully established their name in the industry. This panel included Alessandra Ambrosia, Cara Santana , Wendy Nguyen (Wendy's Lookbook), Stassi Shroeder, Jen Chae (from FrmHeadtoToe) , and more. On top of hearing from the panel, I also had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful ladies who are bloggers as well.
I love going to events like this, because it's incredibly motivating and really confirms that blogging is a true passion that can turn into something significant. I believe Simply Stylist is hosted in Chicago and New York as well, so if you do happen to live or be in the area, I highly encourage attending this event.
At the event, I wanted to keep it simple and easy, but of course stylish. I wore this super comfy romper from Forever 21, which was light and breezy. Perfect for the steamy heat we encountered that day.
I also wanted to share a quick glimpse of what was in my bag for the event! I definitely wanted to come prepared and soak everything up. My essentials included my favorite notebook that says "Paris is always a good idea", my adorable camera bag, my Too Faced makeup bag filled with a compact powder and my go-to lip color of the moment.
Also, I didn't have time to order business cards for the event. However, I did find these cute blank notecards in my room, so I thought utilizing this would be an equally cute substitution. If you are ever looking to create last-minute business cards, this only takes less than 5 minutes and probably costs around $5 at your local Target.
Spring is finally upon us, and if I'm going to spend a decent amount of time in the heat, I need my favorite sunnies with me. Currently, I'm loving the new Vesper sunglasses from the Quay Australia x Shay Mitchell collection.
I love this pretty in pink cosmetic bag. Perfectly fits all my essentials in case of any makeup emergencies.
And lastly, I did not expect to receive this amazing and generous goodie bag! But yes, they spoiled us with full-size beauty products, snacks, drinks, and even a cute shirt! If you purchased the Fashion & Beauty Lover ticket, then this was the gift bag you received. I heard the other ticket level, the VIP Fashionista, has an even more impressive bag filled with sponsored goods such as Barney's!
I hope you all had a terrific weekend!
